George Lancaster Obituary

George S. Lancaster Sr., 100, of Whitehall, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015. He was born Dec. 3, 1915, beloved son to Pitt and Lillian Lancaster. He was the loving husband to Catherine Straub Lancaster; caring father to Diane Lancaster, George Lancaster Jr. and Maria (Nicholas) DeFeo; grandfather to Rachel, Kenneth, Erica, Jonathon and Sarah; great-grandfather to Aubree, Devon, Dominic Jr., Brielle, Mason, Reghan, Shea and Skylar; and is also survived by one brother, Ralph Lancaster, of Maine, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the St. Pius X Byzantine Catholic Church, 2336 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, with Monsignor Russel Duker. Interment will be held at St. Michaels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Grant St., Suite 900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Please sign the online register book at www.CIESLAKTATKO.COM.
