Jessica Lynn Aaron, 19, of Slickville, Salem Township, whose love of life inspired those around her, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, in Slickville. She was born May 19, 1986, in Greensburg, a daughter of John and Susan Grubach Aaron. Jessica was a sophomore at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in communications and minored in Spanish. In 2004, she graduated from Greensburg Salem High School, where she developed a passion for the Spanish culture, was very active in Spanish Club and had the opportunity to visit Costa Rica. She was also a staff writer for the Greensburg Salem "Lions Den" and had poems published in "Folio" the literary magazine. Her talent with writing encouraged her to become a member of the American Poets Society in college. Her former teachers remember her for being the first student to beat her high school journalism teacher in Scrabble. Jessica loved fishing and camping, and sharing special times with her sister and family. She was employed as a hostess at Cozumel Restaurant, Indiana, Pa., and as a cashier for Sheetz in Indiana and Greensburg. For several years, she worked at the Lamplighter Restaurant in Delmont. She was a member of Congruity Presbyterian Church, New Alexandria, and was an active participant in the church's youth group. Jessica was the loving daughter of John and Susan Grubach Aaron; dear sister and best friend of Marjorie Jean Aaron and John Justin Aaron; beloved granddaughter of Charles Aaron Sr., of Greensburg, and the late Marjorie Jean Terhorst Aaron, and Thomas and Dorothy Rehak Grubach, of Slickville. She will be dearly missed by her aunts and uncles, Charles Aaron Jr., David Aaron, Dale Aaron, and Teri Aaron and the late Randy Aaron, all of Greensburg, Thomas Grubach Jr., of Slickville, Robert Grubach, of Florida, and Diane Grubach, of Slickville; her niece and nephew, Myranda and John Aaron; and several cousins. Jessica's family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. The Rev. H. Clifton Foster will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Congruity Cemetery.
