JESSIE WINNIFRED GLENN Jessie Winnifred Glenn died suddenly in her hometown of Alliston, Ontario on December 15, 2016, surrounded by her family. Jessie was the dear wife and best friend of the late Bruce Glenn, devoted mother of John and Norma, Mark and Carolyn, Jeff and Carol, and Scott and Kris, and dearest "Grambo" to Madeleine, Bobby, Mackenzie, Everett, Riley and Shannon. Jessie was the daughter of the late Vera and Lorne Buyers and sister of the late Evelyn Buyers. She is survived by siblings and family members John and Doreen Buyers, Donna Caldwell, Beverley and Dan Bailey and Margaret Hayter. She was sister-in-law of the late Jack Caldwell, Gerald and Ardys Glenn and Merv Hayter. Jessie was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and was adored by many neighbourhood children. Jessie was a graduate of the Guelph General Hospital nursing program and nursed for many years at the Humber Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted member of the Humbervale United Church before returning to Alliston, a bird lover, avid gardener and literature enthusiast. Visitation will be held at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria St. E., Alliston, on Monday, December 19th from 7-9 p.m. A service in celebration of her life will be held at St. John's United Church, 56 Victoria St. E., Alliston, on Tuesday, December 20th at 2 p.m. If desired, donations made to St. John's Church or the ALS Society would be appreciated. www.thomasfuneralhome.ca 705-435-5101
