Dear Flo, I had the pleasure of meeting John through our mutual friend Wayne Nilles. The three of us had some spirited conversations over the years and I so appreciated John's candor and intelligence. I know that Wayne especially will miss their friendship. Dear Aunt Flo, Barbara, Ngoc, Alison and Emma; I'm sorry to hear that my Uncle has passed. He was a wonderful uncle, intelligent and honorable man. He will be missed by all of us. I'm here always for all of you.

We were saddened to learn of John's passing. He was dynamic, articulate and friendly, always with time and a smile to hear or tell a story.

John was a dear friend of ours and many others in the Oakland area from half a lifetime ago. As long as one of us lives, there will be many stories to tell. Rest in peace pal. Harry & Rose Hanna
