John Yelenic Obituary

John A. Yelenic, 73, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at his home in Lincoln Place. He was born July 25, 1932, in Homeville to the late Stephen and Barbara Yelenic and also was predeceased by his wife, Toni (Lonzo) Yelenic, who died in 1993, and siblings, Laura Levkus, Frank, Catherine, Joe, Ben, Peggy, Mike, Barbara and Mary (Maholage). John worked for Kopp Glass Co., Swissvale, for 37 years. Father of John (Kathleen) Yelenic, of Wheeling, W.Va.; Joe (Tracy) Yelenic, of Jefferson Hills, and Ralph (Carrie) Yelenic, of Pleasant Hills. Grandfather of Tim, Katie, Jay, Kelly, Amanda, Toni, Megan, Allison, Thomas, Matthew and Nathan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills. Funeral prayer will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Interment in St. Mary Magadlene Cemetery, Homestead. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Elizabeth School, Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
