Kathryn D. Means

Kathryn D. (Craig) Means, 84, of Turtle Creek, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 28, 2010, surrounded by her family. Kathryn worked as a secretary for the former Electric Plan School and she was a lifelong member of McMasters United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, where she served as a past Matron, and the Daughters of Scotia, where she was a past Chief Daughter. Kathryn was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Coxon) Craig; wife of the late William J. "Bill" Means; beloved mother of Linda (Lewis) Canobbio, Barbara (George) Hartman and Cheryl (Herb) Riley; loving grandmother of Alyssa Canobbio and Andrew Canobbio, Nicholas Hartman and Emilie Hartman, Kelly (Tim) McIntyre, Kristen Riley and Kraig Riley; dear sister of Nancy (Thomas) Jordan; sister-in-law of Virginia Gregowich and Louise Means; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. A blessing service will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a service at 10 a.m. in McMasters United Methodist Church. Interment in Restland Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Health South, Monroeville and Harmarville, and Three Rivers Hospice for their loving care and attention.
