Marian J. Ramsay

Marian Jean (Howley) Ramsay, also nicknamed Mame, 80, passed away in Florida on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, after a long illness. Marian is the daughter of the late Richard and Eleanor Ramsay of Virden, Ill. She is survived by her aunt, three daughters, one son, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Marian also resided in McMurray, and was a pre-school teacher for more than 20 years and then worked as a therapist in a rehab treatment center in Pennsylvania. After retiring, Marian moved to Florida where she was very active in the Christian community. Marian Ramsay loved to read, paint, sightsee and enjoyed craft fairs and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. A private memorial service will be at a later date in Virden, Ill. We will miss her laughter and joyful personality. Marian Jean Ramsay will be sadly missed.
