Patricia L. Berardi

Patricia L. Berardi, 72, of East Pittsburgh, died Thursday, May 5, 2016. Patricia was the beloved mother of Michael Berardi, of Boston, Mass., Anthony Berardi, of Braddock Hills, and Donna (Tobias) Bartl, of Kissing, Germany, as well as an infant who died at birth; loving grandmother to Annika Bartl; cherished sister-in-law of Rosemarie "Cookie" (the late Thomas) Haitz, of Irwin; dear aunt of Thomas Haitz Jr., of North Huntingdon, James Haitz, of North Huntingdon, and Joanne Haitz-Tullis, of North Huntingdon; and daughter of the late Irwin Haitz and the late Catherine (Haitz) Ruffing. Patricia retired from UPMC Montifiore in 2009, after working in the Radiology Department for 29 years. Throughout her life, Pat was very involved in her community. She was a born-again Christian and parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish. She graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1961. Pat was also known for bartending at the local AMVETS. She also was a waitress at the Moose Lodge. During her childhood, she was a member of the Polish Falcons. She was also remembered for working the election polls in East Pittsburgh for many years. Pat enjoyed reading, nature, birds, plants, sunrises and sunsets, dancing, cooking, being with people, using Facebook and surfing the Braddock Facebook page, and attending flea markets.

Pat's funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Church. Following her funeral, Pat will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
