Robert L. Neighley

Robert L. Neighley, age 81, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002. Born April 11, 1921, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James C. and Susan (Meyerhoefer) Neighley. Beloved husband for 52 years of Dolores (Ebel) Neighley. Dear father of Phyllis Neighley Riley of Cincinnati and Jayne Neighley Cain of Richland Twp. Brother of James C. Neighley of West Kittanning. Grandfather of David and Cheri Cain, Leslie and Lindsey Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Corrine Neighley and Marie Iseman. Friends received Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, a "Pursuit of Excellence Award" Firm, www.schellhaasfuneralhome.com. Funeral Service Saturday at 11 a.m. in Deer Creek United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Raselyn Johnson will officiate. Interment in Lakewood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Neighley was a meat manager for Thorofare Markets, retiring in 1982. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, and a member of Deer Creek United Presbyterian Church, John E. Mair F&AM Lodge 729 in Mars, Pittsburgh Consistory, Syria Shrine, West Deer Golden Years, Hampton AARP and Mars AARP.
