William Creighton "Tick" McClintock

William Creighton "Tick" McClintock III, a practicing physician in the North Boroughs and Brighton Heights from 1947 until 1990, on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002. He had been chief of Cardiology at Suburban General Hospital in Bellevue and St. John's Hospital in Pittsburgh. He served as an elder at Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon and was director of the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Band. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Zilavy) McClintock of Ben Avon; father of William C. McClintock IV and his wife, Kelly, of Greenville, N.C., Rev. Daniel G. McClintock and his wife, Anne-Louise, of Charlotte, N.C., Randall D. McClintock and his wife, Jenny, of Reston, Va. and Janet G. Simmons and her husband, Drew, of Twin Falls, Idaho; brother of Myralin "Marnie" Flickinger of Wooster, Ohio.; also nine grandchildren. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday and Monday, at the McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL HOME INC., 529 California Ave., Avalon. Funeral services will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave., on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Cemetery, Pine Twp.
