Thomas Organ

Thomas T. Organ, 82, of Monroeville, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Thomas was the beloved husband of 62 years to Mary Catherine "Babe" Organ; loving father of Randy T. Organ, Robert T. (Laura) Organ, and the late Richard T. Organ; dear grandfather of Jonathan, Thomas, Eric, Alex, Hannah, Catherine, and Haley; he was preceded in death by his parents, Ted S. and Irene Organ; Thomas is also survived by a brother and two sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews. Thomas was born in Charleroi to his parents, Ted and Irene. He grew up living in Braddock and graduated in 1960 from Braddock High School. Thomas received his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from California University of Pennsylvania. He went on to be an educator with the East Allegheny and Gateway school districts. Thomas served as the head football coach for both schools and loved every second. He was inducted into the PA Sports Hall of Fame, East Boro Chapter, in 2003. Thomas retired in 2002, ending his long career, and went on to continue his avid love of all Pittsburgh sports. He loved his children, grandchildren, and entire family. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC.
