Anita D. Anderson

1955 - 2024

Anita Diane Anderson, 69, of Jeannette, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at UPMC Shadyside surrounded by her loving family after a year long battle with lung cancer. She was born March 14, 1955, in Pulaski, VA, a daughter of the late Herman D. and Margaret E. Lester. She was retired from Verizon and was the long time owner of Thunder Rolls Bar and recently Thunder Rolls Tobacco. After her retirement she enjoyed going to the casino and vacations with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Anderson Sr.; brother, Mike Lester; sister, Cristy Lester; and two sons, James E. Anderson Jr and Roy Paul Anderson. Anita is survived by a daughter, Angie (Mike) Smail of Jeannette; sister, Linda Sue Mock of Arlington, VA; and grandchildren' David Anderson, Devon Anderson, RJ Graham, Mikayla and Marlee Smail and Dawn (Jason) Hritz. Four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Per Anitas wishes there will be no service.
