Anita Kissner

1963 - 2023

We are heartbroken to announce that Anita (Dahlstrom) Kissner, 60, of Cape Coral, Fla., and formerly Penn Township, departed this life Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Fla. Born in Jeannette Aug. 21, 1963 and was a graduate of Penn-Trafford High School. Anita was afflicted with multiple sclerosis and disabled for much of her adult life; however, she never let a diagnosis or illness define her. She had a zest for life that spilled over to those around her. She was a lover of concerts, casinos and her dog, Daisy. She was able to spend her final days living in Florida, a dream that was realized a year-and-a-half ago. Her bright smile and infectious laugh can only be measured by those she touched in life and will never be forgotten. Anita was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Dahlstrom; and stepfather, Charles Hartmann. She is survived by her mother, Dolores (Zona) Dahlstrom; life partner, Bob Yates; sister, Sandi (Brian) Barrett; nephews, Wesley (Joanna) Bodie and Matt Bodie; along with great-nephew, Beckett; and great-niece, Hadley. In addition, she is also survived by stepdaughters, Jessica (Jake) Fordyce and Lauren (Chad) Clair; step-grandchildren, Jaxson, Juliette, Wyatt and Blakely; and her best friend in life for the last 38 years, John Smuch.
