Ann H. Foster

1928 - 2016

Ann H. Foster, 87, of Bridgeport, W.Va., passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, in United Hospital Center. She was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Forbes Road, the daughter of the late Maurice Hugus and Anna (Michaels) Hugus. Ann is survived by a daughter, Susan Foster, of Bridgeport, W.Va.; two sons, Roy Foster and his wife, Jennifer, of Seattle, Wash., and Charles Foster and his wife, Toni, of Nottingham; four grandchildren, Emily, Ian, Nathaniel and Noah; two brothers, Welty Hugus, of Columbus, Ohio, and John Hugus and his wife, Sammie, of Greensburg; very special friends, the Bethkes; her cat, Tigger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Foster Jr.; and a brother, Edward Hugus. Ann worked mostly at Bethlen Home in Ligonier. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Ligonier. She was also a member of the Wild Wonderful Stitchers.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Brookdale Maplewood, 1000 Maplewood Drive, Bridgeport, W.Va., with the Rev. Linda Muhly presiding. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at J. PAUL McCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Laughlintown.
