Arlene Williams

1928 - 2020

Arlene Williams, 92, of Ruffs Dale (South Huntingdon Township), died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at her home. She was born May 6, 1928, in South Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late George Oran and Elva Margaret Kelley Stahl.. She was a member of Barren Run United Methodist Church, where she was a member for more than 80 years, the United Methodist Women, and sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking, baking, singing and cleaning. She loved family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone else's children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Argyle Williams; brothers, Byron, Oran, Wayne, Everett and Donald Stahl; and sisters, Gladys Branthoover, Evelyn Moon, Geraldine Hutchinson, and an infant sister. She is survived by her children, Gary Williams (Dian), of Ruffs Dale, Karen Shuber (Ritchie), of Ruffs Dale, Dale Williams (Chris), of Smithton, and Renee Mende (Jeff), of Frederick, Md.; grandchildren, Keith, Jeremy, Robert, Jacob, Ashley, Tricia and Sara; stepgrandchildren, Barb and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Abigael, Audrey, Alesha, Julie, Lindsey, Baylee, Olivia and Vivian; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Stephen and Memphis; She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Private visitation will be Saturday at L. L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., with burial and funeral service at noon in Barren Run Cemetery with Pastor John Logan officiating.
