Ashley L. Harrold Hamilton, 38, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., formerly of Latrobe, died tragically Friday morning, Feb. 11, 2022, in Hilton Head Hospital of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. She was born May 13, 1983, in Greensburg, the beloved daughter of Kenneth and Kathleen Zaffina Harrold, of Latrobe, and the dear wife of Garrett Hamilton, of Hilton Head Island, S.C. She was the loving mother to her two boys, Graeme and Grady. Ashley was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School Class of 2001 and Seton Hill University in 2005. She was a four-year captain of Seton Hill University Women's Tennis team as well as the YMCA Westmoreland County Sportswoman College Tennis Team Member in 2005. She was amongst those named 1st Team All Mid-East Conference Tennis Singles Selection, 2002-2005. Ashley was employed in high school at the Greensburg Racquet Club, Greensburg, and in college as a PTR tennis professional at Dennis Van Der Meer Tennis University, Hilton Head Island, S.C. She worked as a marketing coordinator at Powerscore, Golfer's Guide and recently at Charter One Realty as a sales assistant, all of Hilton Head Island, S.C. She was a former board member of The Island Council for the Arts, Hilton Head Island, S.C. Ashley was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and friend to all who knew her. Ashley is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Garrett R. Hamilton, of Hilton Head, S.C; and her precious boys whom she adored, Graeme Harrold Hamilton, age 7, and Grady Becker Hamilton, age 4. She is also survived by her loving parents, Kenneth and Kathleen Zaffina Harrold, of Latrobe; her devoted sister, Noelle Harrold, of Latrobe; her loving grandmother, Barbara Harrold, of Greensburg; her many aunts and uncles, aunt Donna and husband, uncle Nick Grandinetti, of Pittsburgh, uncle Jerry and wife, Valerie Harrold, of Boynton Beach, Fla., uncle Jeff and wife, Virginia Harrold, of Stafford, Va.; her special cousins, Annie Grandinetti, of Pittsburgh, Megan (Michael) Chu and Ruby Chu, and Jessica (Ron) Coulter; numerous great-aunts, uncles and cousins; her father and mother-in-law, David and Barbara Hamilton, of Bluffton, S.C.; her brothers-in- law, David and Lori Hamilton, of Indiana, Pa., and Michael and Tammy Hamilton, of Seward; her nieces and nephew, Briauna, Eryca, Rebekah and Josh Hamilton; along with her beloved dogs, Tony and Mario. Ashley was preceded in death by her grandfather, Carl L. Harrold, 2006, grandfather, Francis "Frank" Zaffina, 2006; grandmother, Pauline Zaffina, 2018; and great grandmothers, Francis Zaffina, Kathryn Farlow and Helen Yourich. Ashley's family will greet friends and family from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, PA 15683. Prayers of transfer will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, in the funeral home, with her funeral Mass to follow at 11a.m. in the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Elmer Alforque, as celebrant. Committal services and entombment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe. Box 3155, Bluffton, S.C. 29910. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, in Hilton Head Island, S.C., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24 Hope Ave., Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
