Barbara A. (Bard) Mays, 67, of E. McKeesport, formerly of Pitcairn, finished this part of her journey Monday, July 19, 2021. Barb began her life's journey Aug. 15, 1953. She was the daughter of Ornetta (West) and Escoe Bard, of Pitcairn. Barb was preceded in death by both her parents and her cousin, Mickey, who was more of a sister than a cousin to her. She is survived by Stacy, her husband of 47 years; her sons, Dan and Joe (Vicky); also the two balls of fur who always kept her on her toes, Lucy and Pixie. Per Barb's request, there will not be a viewing or service. WM. O. PEARCE FUNERAL HOME INC., Pitcairn, is assisting family with arrangements. With Barb's deep and unending love of animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation to All But Forgotten, 70 Carpenter Lane, N. Huntingdon, PA 15642.

Extending condolences to Stacy, Dan, and Joe on the loss of your wife and mother. A chance meeting between Barb and my wife, Shoshana, launched Dan and Joe into speed skating with me as their coach. I cherish those memories. Barb will always remain in my thoughts.

I was so deeply saddened to hear that Barb passed. She was one of my favorite patients to care for. She was so strong even in the middle of difficult times. Keeping her family close in prayer.

Dan, I´m sooo sorry for your loss. No words; in such a difficult time. Take comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and there is no longer any pain or suffering. May God give you the strength in the days ahead, and just know you have a lot if ppl in your life that will be there for you. Sending prayers to your entire family from my family.
