Bruce H. Anderson

1938 - 2025

Bruce H. Anderson, 87, of Acme, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. Born June 19, 1938, in Jeannette, he was the son of the late Harold B. Anderson and Eleanor A. (Barry) Anderson. Bruce was a member of St. Raymond of the Mountains Church, Donegal. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Timken Latrobe Steel with 25 years of service as a draftsman and had been formerly employed at Buckingham Homes and Reuss Engineering. Bruce helped his wife with Animal Keepers Rescue. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was always smiling and loved his pets. Bruce was very intelligent and handy, a true "do it yourself" man who could fix anything. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith B. Anderson. Bruce is survived by his wife, Mary C. (Sobota) Anderson, of Acme; four children, Deborah Anderson, of Latrobe, Bruce A. Anderson (Kathy), of Greensburg, Sherry L. Anderson, of Mt. Pleasant, and Paul E. Anderson (Dana), of Arona; five grandchildren, Jessica Glauser (Ben), Joshua Sobota, Jaqualynn Durbin (Brandon), Austin Anderson (Lauren), and Justin Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Rose, Thomas, Cecelia, and Luke. There will be no public visitations. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at St. Vincent Basilica. Private interment will be at St. Vincent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Keepers Rescue, 485 McGinnis Road, Acme, PA 15610, to support Lisa Ullery and all the volunteers who do such wonderful work.
