Burl Baird Obituary

Burl E. ``Cork' Baird, 89, of Uniontown, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, in Beverly Health Care, Uniontown. A son of the late Merch and Elizabeth Inks Baird, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Kooser Baird; and two sisters, Margaret Wilson and Mary Catherine Burns. Burl was a self-employed truck driver. He is survived by two sons, Burl Edward Baird Jr. and wife, Lee Ann, of Parma, Ohio, and Larry Baird and wife, Judy, of Uniontown; a brother, Charles Baird of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Thelma Weaver of Smyrna, Tenn., and Edith Dorazio of Uniontown; and two grandsons, Robert and John of Parma, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, where friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 to 9 a.m., when a brief service will be held in the funeral home with the Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating, followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Charles Neiderheiser and the Rev. Herbert Peterson co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Scottdale.
