Carmella Cardella Obituary

Carmella A. Cardella, 95, of Bovard, died Tuesday, June 13, 2023. She was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Michael and Marie Moffa Decesere. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree. She was also a member of the Bovard VFD Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis Cardella; a brother, Victor Decesere; and two sisters, Mary Mannella and Josephine Zyvith. Carmella is survived by two sons, Louis Cardella, of Bovard, and Anthony Cardella, of Bovard; three granddaughters, Stacey (Rob) Dennis, of Belle Vernon, Renee (Alex) Palanzo, of Allentown, and Brittany (Randy) Rothwell, of West Newton; four great-grandchildren, Lila, Levi, Dominic and Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews; two Godchildren, Charlene Greene and Jennilee Avolio; a brother; Daniel Decesere (Carol); and a sister-in-law, Marie Cardella. Family and friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A liturgy service outside of Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Private interment will be in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
