Carole J. Hinkelman

1933 - 2021

Carole J. (Robb) Hinkelman, 88, of West Hempfield, passed peacefully Friday, Nov. 5, 2021. She was born Sept. 1, 1933, in DuBois, to the late Thomas and Lillian (McClure) Robb. Carole was a graduate of Brookville High School. She was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church where she was a former board member and president of the Presbyterian Women's Association and served on the lunch committee. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hinkelman, in 1996; and a brother, Thomas Robb. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Greg) Barringer, Thomas (Charlyne) Hinkelman and Kurt (Lorie) Hinkelman; her grandchildren, Carly (Erik) Gibson, William and Jeff Barringer, and Robert and Brian Hinkelman; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Katelyn and Mackenzie Gibson; siblings, Dennis J. Robb and Joyce Harvey; sister-in-law, Peggy Hinkelman; and also numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Walnut Ridge Memory Care and ViaQuest Hospice for all the compassionate care, love and support. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Andrew Wirt, officiating.
