Catherine V. Micklow

1935 - 2025

Catherine V. Micklow, 90, of Crabtree, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, with her sister by her side. She was born Oct. 19, 1935, in Humphreys, a daughter of the late Steve and Mary Pianko Micklow. Catherine was a member of St. Benedict's in Marguerite and, after relocating to Crabtree, St. Bartholomew Church. She loved doing crossword puzzles, but her life centered around taking care of all of her siblings while growing up, and then later she enjoyed working at the former Xavier School in Latrobe. She had a quick wit and loved sports, especially the Steelers and Pirates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Steven, Paul, and John Micklow; and a sister, Mary Wnek. She is survived by her sister, Ann Beggs of Crabtree; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of Catherine will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, in the St. Bartholomew Church, with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
