Daniel Lenart, 95, of Trafford, died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 6, 1922, in Trafford, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Lenart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, in 2014. Daniel is survived by his four sons, Daniel J. Lenart (Patricia), of Harrison City, Robert Lenart (Patricia), of South Fayette, James Lenart (Renee), of Monroeville, and William Lenart, of Erie; his eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Lenart (Toni), of Brentwood; and a sister, Wanda Czapor (Edward), of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Daniel was also preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley, Joseph, and Frank; and a sister, Jenny Kuharski. Daniel worked at Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh for 42 years and retired as an industrial engineer. He was a lifelong member of St. Regis Church, Trafford, and he served in several ministries, including the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus and parish council. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of William Penn Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St. (St. Route 130), Trafford, (412) 372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed at 9:30 a.m. by a funeral Mass in St. Regis Church, with Father David Nazimek as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
