David Stouffer Obituary

David E. Stouffer, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born in Latrobe, a son of Minnie (Flack) Stouffer of Youngstown, Pa., and the late David L. Stouffer. Prior to retirement, David was a truck driver for Teledyne Coardinators for 35 years. He was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe, and its Holy Name Society. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 86th Flight Wing, Neubiberg Air Force Base, Germany. He was a member of the Latrobe American Legion Thomas B. Anderson Post 515 and the Touchdown Club. He also was formerly very active with the Boy Scouts and the Greater Latrobe Marching Band Parents. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles W. Stouffer, in 1964. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia L. (Kelly) Stouffer; five children, Richard (Crystal) of Sulzbach, Germany, Mrs. Michael (Betty) Sikora of Mahaffey, Mrs. Albert (Christine) Scavnicky of Latrobe, Kevin (Diana) of Latrobe and Mrs. Joseph (Kimberly) Hawn Sr. of Hinesville, Ga.; his special nephew, Charles (Melynda) Stouffer of Fort Myers, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, Dunja, Christina, Alicia, Michael Jr., Candace, April, Kelli Jo, Leah, Nicholette, Joseph Jr., Stephanie, James and Alisha; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Philip and Hannah; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Latrobe. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Latrobe. Members of the Holy Family Holy Name Society will recite the rosary Thursday at 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
