Dolores J. Mariani Korsch, 90, of Smithton, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Hallsworth House in Monessen. Born in Smithton, Aug. 22, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Coltura Mariani. She was a member of The Church of the Seven Dolors of Yukon. She graduated from South Huntingdon High School and at one time actively involved herself in The Christian Mothers at Seven Dolors. She had volunteered in the SERVIS program at the Yough School District and enjoyed her time working in the library at Mendon Elementary. Dolores loved any creative project and immersed herself helping her friends and family, who will miss her generous, loyal and loving spirit. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Stimple and her husband, Larry, of Madison, and Holly Kristoff and her husband, Kenneth, of Rostraver Township; a grandson, Matthew Stimple; brother, Ronald Mariani, of Smithton; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lawrence (Fay) Mariani, Mrs. Jack (Ann) Mariana and Mrs. Helen Ondrejko; a brother-in-law, Steven Miskovich and wife, Jean; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Michael Korsch; a sister, Arlene Snyder; and brothers, Lawrence and Jack Mariani. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison. Anyone wishing to attend Dolores' funeral Mass is asked to go directly to Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Yukon, for a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, with Father Jonathan J. Wisneski as celebrant. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Hallsworth House for the care Dolores received there and ViaQuest Hospice Services.
