Donald Ray Faust Sr., 85, of Latrobe (Unity Township), passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital. He was born April 8, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, to the late Clarence and Josephine (Bearn) Faust. Don served as a member of the Army National Guard and was a retired steelworker for Latrobe Steel with 35 years of service. A Christian by faith, he was a member of Latrobe Community Ministries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Steven "Greg" Faust Jr.; and a brother, Clarence Faust Jr. Don is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy (Mentzer) Faust; two sons, Donald Faust Jr. (Marti) and Randy Faust (Melissa); six grandchildren, Donny III, Laura, Danielle, Gregory, Nathan, and Alex; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Stella, Olivia, David, and Eland; and a sister, Sara Honse of Florida. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Chris Livermore officiating. Private interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Youngstown.
