Donna A. George

1950 - 2023

Donna A. George, 72, of Pleasant Unity, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023. She was born Aug. 19, 1950, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Samuel and Estelle (Keeports) Ardire. Donna was a member of Journey Church and enjoyed making her own greeting cards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Theodora Ardire, and a sister, Patricia Rineer. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, the Rev. John W. George; her daughter, Barbara George, of Pleasant Unity, and her fiance, Barry Fazekas; her son, Michael George and wife, Jennifer, of Lititz; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Reese, of Acme; a niece; four nephews; and her caregiver, Donna McLean, and her children, Ben and Dottie. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Journey Church.
