Dorothy Crowell Obituary

Dorothy A. (Koval) Crowell, 87, formerly of Pitcairn and East McKeesport, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Ray Crowell; and loving mother of Janet (Brett) Chernicky and their son, Anthony Fernando, Ray (Becky) Crowell and David (Kathleen) Crowell. Also survived by her canine friend, Diamond. She was preceded in death by her dear companion, Chuck Krause; brothers, John, Steve, Andrew, Albert and Frank Koval; and sister, Irene Trautz. Dottie was a longtime member of St. Robert Bellarmine, St. Michael, North American Martyrs and Holy Angels Church. She will miss and be missed by her many friends, especially the ladies at Holy Angels. She was very active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the 40 and 8, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and her other organizations. She loved volunteering at the Veterans Hospitals and helping all of our vets. Dot was a beautiful person inside and out and will be missed very much by her family and friends, too numerous to mention. We love you, Mom. Forever. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), corner of (445) Beatty Road and 48 North, Monroeville, (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Michael Parish.
