Dorothy Strittmatter

Dorothy Strittmatter peacefully departed this world on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025. She was born in New Kensington to Dan and Kathryn Greco. a 1951 graduate of Mt. Mercy College (now Carlow University), Dorothy worked for many years as a dedicated hospital lab technician. She was a lifelong member of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, where her faith was a constant throughout her life. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters and brothers; and her beloved husband of 63 years, Karl. She is survived by her daughter, Mary K; her son-in-law, Joe; her grandsons, Nick (Maddie), Luke (Carleigh), and Sam (Taylor); and her very much adored great-grandchildren, Nathan and Piper. Honoring Dorothy's wishes, all services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karl J. and Dorothy T. Strittmatter Scholarship Fund at South Hills Catholic Academy.
