Edna Jourdain Obituary

Edna May Taylor Jourdain, 95, of Greensburg, formerly of Versailles, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016. She was born April 9, 1921, in McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Freda Kirschner Taylor. She was the wife of the late Louis E. Jourdain. Edna was a member of the former Versailles United Methodist Church, and was a also a member of Versailles AARP, White Oak AARP and the Easter Star. Edna loved her card club, her home, cooking and baking. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jean "Jeannie" Gleditsch, of Unity Township; grandsons, Douglas P. Gleditsch, of Sugar Land, Texas, and Gregory S. (Rhonda) Gleditsch, of Vienna, Va.; great-grandchildren, Ashby, Corin and Jaymesyn Gleditsch, of Sugar Land, Texas, and Caroline and Finnegan Gleditsch, of Vienna, Va.; a niece, Merianne Cardas; and a nephew, Ross Cardas. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Newton and Herbert Taylor; and sister, Martha Cardas.
Friends are welcome from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 412-672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Steve LaSor, of the Maplewood Presbyterian Church, officiating. Private interment will be at the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park Inc., North Huntingdon Township.
