Edward R. Flowers Jr., of Ligonier, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning Aug. 29, 2021. Born March 5, 1933, in Orangeville, Ohio, Ed retired from MSA after a 21-year career as a machinist. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Flowers; his mother, Cora Flowers Holler; a brother, Frank Flowers; and a daughter-in-law, Erin L. Flowers. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, G. Jane Flowers; three children, Ronald, Gina Ziegenfus and her husband, Richard Ziegenfus, and Rex. Ed had three grandchildren, Eric Shell (wife, Tricia), of Green Sea, S.C., Christopher Farrell, of Hidden Valley, and Michael Farrell, of Herndon, Va; five great-grandchildren, Molly Farrell, of Herndon, Va., Constance Shell, Jesse Shell, Tristan Shell and Eric Shell Jr., all of Green Sea, S.C.; one great-great-grandchild Ivy, of Green Sea, S.C. There will be no visitation. A private interment service will be held at Ligonier Valley Cemetery with Minister Richard Ziegenfus officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, Ligonier. The family asks that bequests be made to Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier, or Ligonier Valley Meals on Wheels.
