Edward V. Genes, 97, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023. He was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Duquesne, a son of the late John and Marianne (Vislay) Genes. Prior to retirement, Edward had been a salesman for various companies in the business of Hydronic Accessory Manufacturing. He was a member St. Nicholas Byzantine, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean M. Genes. He is survived by his son, Bill A. Genes (Laura); and two grandchildren, Rachael and Benjamin Genes. Edward enjoyed his grandchildren and the time he spent with them more than anything. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. www.bachafh.com.
