Elizabeth J. Cycak

1932 - 2025

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Cycak, 93, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. She was a resident of Oak Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Greensburg, formerly of Jeannette. She was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Banning, a daughter of the late John and Anna Pectavage Marcic. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Scozio's Shop and Save in Jeannette and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Betty enjoyed bingo, bowling, and going to Atlantic City, especially to The Sands Hotel and Casino. She was an avid fan of the Jeannette Jayhawks and often held season tickets. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward F. Cycak; son, Michael J. Cycak; a sister, Patricia (Dolly) Huether; and brothers, Kenneth, Leonard, Juney, and Rich Marcic. She is survived by her sons, Edward Jr. and Robert (Kris) Cycak; grandsons, Edward Cycak III, Jason, Adam, and Hunter Cycak; great-grandchildren, Audrina, Eva, Ella, Ashtyn, and Abrianna; brothers, Don and Melvin Marcic; sister-in-law, Kathy Marcic; and her best friend, Janet Shirer. Betty's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of Oak Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center for all of the kind and compassionate care Betty received during her time there. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, PA 15644. A funeral liturgy will take place immediately following the visitation on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in the funeral home chapel, with Fr. Michael Crookston, presiding. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette, PA 15644.
