Ernest W. Redovan

1931 - 2017

Ernest William Redovan, 85, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was born May 23, 1931, in North Braddock, a son of the late George and Anna Hunty Redovan. In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Bishop; and a brother, Ed Redovan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Maryann Baran Redovan; his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Larry Vance; his son, Ronald Redovan; and his grandchildren, Mark Schowalter and Joey, Anthony, Charlie and Timmy Redovan. Ernest was an Army veteran and a dedicated employee of Westinghouse for more than 35 years. He was also an avid athlete and golfer. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Ernest will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, Plum. Interment will be private in Monongahela Cemetery, North Braddock.
