Eugene Ferri Obituary

Eugene P. Ferri, 69, of Murrysville, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, in the Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 9, 1932, in Turtle Creek, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Lazzeri Ferri. He had been the owner of the Lamplighter Restaurant in Delmont since 1967. He was a member of the Greensburg Country Club, Harley Owners Group of Latrobe, Sub Alpina Club of Turtle Creek and the Corvette Club of Western Pa. He was a former Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin, Joseph, in 1997, and Edward in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Angel Powers Ferri; four children, Tom and his wife, Laura, of Export, Jill Laquindanum and her husband, Hermie, of Slickville, Jennifer Lahmers and her husband, Tom, of Delmont and Audrey Maynard and her husband, Gregory, of Boquet; four grandchildren, Eugene and Kate Ferri and Tim and Abbie Lahmers; two brothers, Daniel and his wife, Lynne, of Boquet and William and his wife, Kathleen, of Murrysville; and two sisters-in-law, Carole and Peggy Ferri. Visitation Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, with Father John Moineau as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Murrysville Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Forbes Hospice, 4818 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
