Evelyn (Kostelnik) Smolleck, 92, of Whitney, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at her home. Born on June 15, 1931, in Whitney, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Anna (Barlock) Kostelnik. Evelyn was a member of St. Cecilia Church, Whitney. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Latronics Corporation. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Smolleck; and a daughter, Lynn A. Salandro. She is survived by one son, David A. Smolleck of Whitney; and two grandsons, Wesley Salandro, and his wife, Eva, and Garrett Salandro. There will be no public visitations. Services and entombment in the Mary, Mother of Mercy Mausoleum at St. Vincent Cemetery are private for the family.
