Florence F. (Siwula) Potoniec, 85, of Everson, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at her home. She was born June 22, 1927, in Everson, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Stepanic) Siwula. Florence was a loving homemaker and a longtime member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen L. Frazier and her husband, Vincent, of Farmington; a sister, Margaret Sandzimier, and a brother, Joseph Siwula and his wife, Marla, all of Everson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Potoniec. Honoring Florence's request, there will be no viewing. Family and friends were received from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson, where her funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. with Father John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Private interment took place in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
