Frances Rambler, 82, of Hempfield Township, a sweet and gentle soul whose life was defined by faith, family, and kindness, was welcomed into eternal life by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, surrounded by the loving family she cherished so deeply. Born on July 12, 1943, in Trafford, Fran was the beloved daughter of Michael and Sophie (Fedoronko) Lubiniski. On Oct. 9, 1964, she married the love of her life, Richard L. Rambler Sr., and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Fran and Dick shared many wonderful years before his passing remarkably, 23 years to the day before her own. Fran was a proud and devoted mother to her four children: Shelly (Charlie) McGinnis, Richard L. (Lynn) Rambler Jr., Cariann (David) Mencer, and Christine (Ed) Gaskey. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jamie (Anthony) Camp, Austin (Emily) Mencer, Rachel (Andrew) Hodgkins, Renee (Branden) Humerick, Justin (Amber) Mencer, Ryan McGinnis, Jessica Mencer, Kaitlyn Gaskey, and Lindsey Gaskey; and through her great-grandchildren who knew her as Granny Franny: Lincoln, Henlee, Madilyn, Natalie, Sophia, and Hattie all of whom she loved with her whole heart. She leaves behind her cherished "second daughter," Beth Kohler, whose tireless love and coordination of care over the years brought great comfort to her. Fran is also survived by her loving sister, Alice Pletcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Sr.; and her treasured grandson, Nick McGinnis. Fran was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took immense pride in her family and loved to cook for them when she was able. Her love for them was steadfast expressed in the countless prayers she offered on their behalf and in the radiant smile that lit her face whenever they were near. She rarely complained and faced life's challenges with quiet strength and grace. Fran will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her constant prayers, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. Her enduring faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she looked forward to her heavenly reward. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now smiling in the presence of God, reunited with her beloved husband, and continuing to watch over those she loved so dearly. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, love, and quiet strength confident in the promise of eternal life. She is deeply loved and will be forever missed. A lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates fan, she found happiness in cheering for her team. Fittingly, as a reward for her devotion, the final game she watched brought her one last Pirates win. Fran was a beautiful person inside and out her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. In her youth, she was named runner-up in the Miss Irwin pageant, a memory her family loved to remind her of with pride and affection. During her time at Hempfield Manor, Fran made many friends among the staff and found great joy in attending activities. She loved playing bingo and was always excited to share stories about the prizes she won. Her passion for music, especially singing gospel songs at church and enjoying live performances on family nights, brought joy to her and everyone around her. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Lisa Gasparovic officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family invites everyone to wear pink, her favorite color, in celebration of her heavenly homecoming a joyful occasion she hoped would be marked with love and gratitude rather than sorrow. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rahul Kad for the compassionate care he gave Fran over the years, for the smiles he always received from her, and for the special bond they shared. They are also grateful to the caring, dedicated staff at Hempfield Manor and to the doctors and staff at Independence Westmoreland for the loving care and kindness they showed Fran throughout her final years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hempfield Manor Activity Fund, 1118 Woodward Drive,
Greensburg, PA 15601.
