Frank Urbanski

1960 - 2023

On a beautiful spring morning on Sunday, April 23, 2023, along a peaceful stream, Frank Urbanski passed away unexpectedly while doing one of his beloved hobbies, fly fishing. Frank was born Aug. 25, 1960, in Natrona Heights. To say that Frank was one of a kind would be an understatement. He was a loyal, devoted husband of 36 years to his surviving wife, Cynthia "Sam" (Watkins) Urbanski. He was a kind, loving father who taught his boys, Gary (Jaymie), Marc (Laura) and Joe (Nicole) Martinka, the value of hard work and doing the right thing. He was the greatest "Pap Pap" of all time who had the heart of a kid and was willing to drop anything to spend quality time with his grandchildren, Dominic, Meadow, Marcus, Noah, Zachary, Emme and JJ Martinka, who admired him and will miss him dearly. Frank was a devoted brother who always showed up to lend a hand and had an unbreakable bond with his siblings, Phyllis (Mark) Woodward, Julie (Dave) Wise, Harvey (Maureen) Urbanski, Tommy (Dee) Urbanski and the cherished ones that passed too soon, Vivian and Jama Urbanski. Finally, he was a model son. Frank was always by his parents' side to be with them physically, emotionally and spiritually for his beloved surviving mother, Sylvia (Argiro) Urbanski and recently departed father, Raymond "Wimpy" Urbanski. Frank was an avid outdoorsman who passionately loved fishing, hunting, gardening and just being in nature. He was an extremely talented artist who attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and was excited about the upcoming Steelers mural he was going to complete this summer in Natrona, which was fitting as he was a die-hard Steelers fan. He was an intelligent man and a hard worker who put every ounce of his being into the job he was completing. He was known for his pursuit of perfection in his work. As this tribute reads, Frank was a lot of things to many people, all of them good. He was a pure and beautiful soul who will be missed so very much. An immense hole will forever be in the hearts of everyone who knew him, but we like to think he is in paradise now playing Euchre with his dad, laughing with his sisters and waiting for the rest of us to join him one day. Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of blessing service at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, in the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 2 Pine St. and River Ave., Natrona, PA 15065.
