Fred Manno Obituary

Fred Manno, 64, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully, with loved ones by his side, Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was the beloved son of Pietro Manno, of Verona; brother of Donna Manno, of Verona, and John Manno, of Texas; dear lifelong friend of Mike and Judy Shovel and family; and favorite furry friend, Lady, of Murrysville. He will be sadly missed by many cousins, as well as his EMS colleagues and friends. Fred was dedicated to his profession and helped thousands of people over the course of his career in healthcare and emergency services. He was currently serving as a paramedic for North Huntingdon EMS Rescue and Monroeville Fire/EMS. He enjoyed dogs, a good cigar and the music of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He was loved by all, always there when you needed him, and was the best friend a friend could ever have. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at WOLFE MEMORIAL, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh, PA 15221. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Fire and EMS personnel will escort Fred to his final resting place in Coles Cemetery in Derry. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Fred's memory may be given to the animal rescue of your choice.

Our deepest sympathy to Fred's family, colleagues, friends, Lady and all the people he served. He was a kind person with a hysterical sense of humor. Talked to him about a year ago. Healing prayers and peace to all.

I met Fred while we were both in nursing school in the mid 90´s. We instantly became friends, but then again how could u not just fall in love with Fred ? I have never laughed so much as I did during that time in my life with him. He was one of the most generous kind hearted people I had ever met and gifted when it came to taking care of patients . I will truly miss him. Rest easy my old dear friend.

There was no one like Fred. He was a great friend and coworker. He would do anything for anyone. His sense of humor and charismatic leadership made him a joy to be around. I worked with Fred at the ACMEO years ago. There will always a special place in my heart for him and memories I will cherish. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I´m so sorry for your loss. One of the last conversations I had with Fred was at Forbes. It was after my return to work. He asked how I was doing. I was out d to COVID. I will truly miss him.
