Georgia M. Ulery

Georgia M. Ulery, 94, of Acme, died on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital. She was born on May 18, 1931, at Acme, a daughter of the late Lewis "Joe" and Minnie Pearl Yothers Shaffer. Georgia was a 1949 graduate of the former Hurst High School, where she was a member of the band. She was an active member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Donegal, active with the Lutheran Brotherhood, now Thrivent, and a member of the Women of the ELCA. She is survived by her sons, Donald Ulery and his wife, Vicki, of Scottdale, Roger Ulery and his wife, Doreen, of Mt. Pleasant, Kevin Ulery and his wife, Michelle, of Stahlstown, and Robby Ulery and his wife, Nicole, of Melcroft; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Donna Ulery. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl R. Ulery, in 2024; brother, Robert Shaffer; and sister, Imagene Carey. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant. Additional viewing will take place from noon until 1 p.m., the hour of services, with Rev. Keith Deckinger officiating, on Tuesday, in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Donegal. Interment will be private.
