1947 - 2018

Glenn H. Barton Jr., 70, of Herminie, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at his sister's home, with whom he resided. He was born Feb. 27, 1947, in McKeesport, a son of the late Glenn H. Sr. and Margaretta (Walton) Barton. Glenn was a huge Steelers fan. He enjoyed camping, listening to Polka music and was always the life of the party. He loved parties. Glenn is survived by his two sisters, Lynn (Dave) Boettner, of Herminie, Donnamarie Samarya, of Oxford, Pa.; a special niece, Holly Boettner and her fiance, Devontae Harris; and two special great-nieces, Amiah and Paige. Glenn's smile and kind heart will be forever missed by his family, many friends and dear neighbors. The family would like to thank his caregivers, Janice and Jodi, along with Heartland Hospice nurse, Laurie, for all their love and compassionate care.
There will be no public visitation, per Glenn's wishes. A memorial gathering to celebrate Glenn's life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at the Herminie Fire Hall, 101 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637. Arrangements are by JOSEPH W.
