Harold J. Kopp

1936 - 2016

Harold John "Hal" Kopp, 79, of Harrison City, died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at home, surrounded by his family. Hal was born March 31, 1936, in San Francisco, Calif., to the late Alvin and Lorraine (Perry) Kopp. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Florian (Maroney) Kopp; loving father of Christopher C. (Debbie), of Fort Worth, Texas, Alvin (Lynn), of Wake Forest, N.C., Lawrence J. Kopp, of Denton, Texas, and Gregory (Siobhan) Kopp, of Damascus, Md.; grandfather of Justin, Trevis and Griffin Kopp, Megan, Alexander and Abigail Kopp, Lauren, Leah and Ryan Kopp, Emily, Matthew, Nicholas and Mackenzie Kopp; and brother of the late David Kopp. Hal was an Army veteran and was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City. Interment with full military honors will follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
