Harry Loughry Obituary

Harry J. Loughry, 91, of Salem Township, formerly of Penn Township, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Ashbaugh) Loughry; loving father of Daniel (Mylene) Loughry, Kim (Tom) Lewandoski, Todd Loughry and the late Tracy Loughry; grandfather of Amy (Sam) Gary and Lacey (Dan) Bridge; great-grandfather of Phoebe Grace Gary; half-brother of Florence Loughry and Carolyn Ruth (Bob) Ansell; brother-in-law of Eleanor Ashbaugh; also survived by his "Flings" Friends. Harry was a World War II Army veteran serving in the South Pacific. He was a farmer, mechanic, retired from Beckwith, Femco, and Benolite. He enjoyed traveling in their motor home, working with his wife at Draperies By Jean, and was a proud owner of his Harley and antique cars. He was also a lifetime member of the Bushy Run Battlefield Heritage Society. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City (724-744-2721). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community United Methodist Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Forbes Trail Lodge No. 783 F and AM services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday. We want to thank the nursing staff at Westmoreland Hospital, Dr. Monsour and Pastor Ciampa for their kindness and support during Harry's final days. We lost a great and loving man.
