Harry Wagner Obituary

Harry P. Wagner, 90, of Castle Shannon, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009. He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Loretta (Daube) Wagner; devoted father of Harry (Mary) Wagner, Susan (Henry) Nutbrown, Marilyn (Stephan) Walczak and the late Edward Wagner; son of the late Harry Albert and Agnes Mae (Devlin) Wagner; brother of the late Earl Wagner; grandfather of Robert and Richard (Lisa) Wagner, Thomas (Rebecca), Diane, Michael (Leigh) Nutbrown, Lauren (Brandon) Knott and Mark Walczak; and great-grandfather of David and Rachel Nutbrown. Harry owned Wagner's Market on Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh. He was a sergeant in the Army during World War II, a member of American Legion Post No. 490 in Castle Shannon. He was an avid golfer, bowler and poker player. Friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1 E. Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. www.laughlinfuneralhome.com.
