Irene Venturini, 87, of White Oak, and beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend passed away at home surrounded by her family Thursday, July 22, 2021. Irene was born Dec. 15, 1933, in McKeesport, and was the youngest child of the late Joseph and Anna (Masley) Morosko. A member of Mary, Mother of God Parish-St. Angela Merici Church, White Oak, Irene, or "Gumby" and she was known by her loving grand and great-grandchildren, will be missed for many things, not least of all her cooking. Her specialties included stuffed cabbages, pierogies, chicken soup and her famous chocolate cake with cream frosting. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Venturini; and her siblings, Ann Benjamin, John and Joe Morosko, Mary Douglas, Helen Stovar, Michael and Pete Morosko. Irene is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ciro J. Venturini. Irene and Ciro met at a polka dance at St. Mary's, McKeesport, and have been together since then. They travelled the world, enjoying trips to Las Vegas, throughout Europe and her homeland, Slovakia. She is also survived by her children, Peter J. (Sandi) Venturini, Perry M. (Donna) Venturini and Denise (Keith) Byers; her grandchildren, Jenna (Bill) Bernabe, Dominic and Meghan Venturini, Chelsie (James) Boldry, and Peter C. Venturini; her great-grandchildren, Giovanni Ash, Kiernan, Luca, Samantha, Gino, Mia, Lena, Willow and Flora June; and also many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.
