James R. Pekarsky, 63, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Wednesday, July 20, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1959, in Greensburg, son of the late Robert and Dolores (Pezze) Pekarsky. He was also preceded in death by his companion, Theresa Hickman. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Pekarsky; brother, John Pekarsky, of Tenn.; as well as loving cousins, family and friends. He was a graduate of Norwin High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a master's degree in accounting. Jim had many accomplishments, but his greatest satisfaction was the time he spent with his daughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. Everyone please meet at church. I'm really going to miss you Jim. For nearly 40 years you were my close friend, workout partner, the godfather to my eldest son, my best man, my neighbor, roommate and business partner. We travelled to Europe together and both ended up in Scottsdale after living most of our lives in California. It's hard to believe that our last workout together was a little more than a year ago. You were my second brother, my fellow Steelers fan and I will never forget you. Give my love to Whitey, Dolly and cousin Lisa when you get through the pearly gates. Until we meet again.
