Janet E. Hawk

Janet E. Hawk, 88, of Acme, passed away on Sept. 15, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert G. Hawk; her six children: Karen Smith of Newell, Jon (Leah) Hawk of Coraopolis, Linda Comfort of Acme, Doug (Julie) Hawk of Confluence, James (Rachael) Hawk of Churchville, MD, and Sharon (Clyde) Andreani of Harrison City; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Up until her last breath, she maintained her positive outlook on life. Her infinitely contagious happiness showed her kindness, grace, compassion, love of family and friends, and gratitude for her long life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Stanley Muleski; a granddaughter, Megan (Benno) Penna; and her brother, Bernie Muleski. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother first and foremost and will always be remembered for her vivacious personality and her ability to make people around her laugh. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She spent countless hours at the family camp and enjoyed being outside taking walks along a mountain stream or viewing wildlife. She was a member of St. Raymond of the Mountains Roman Catholic Church. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in St. Raymond of the Mountains R.C. Church, with Rev. Matthew Udoh as celebrant. (Everyone please go directly to the church).
