Janice Semega Andreas, 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Penn, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Janice is survived by her husband of 55-plus years, Robert E. Andreas, of Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, Robert E. Andreas, of Corpus Christi, Texas, now in Cathlamet, Wash., with his sister, Kristie Andreas and her husband, Armando Donnios; her devoted sister, Donna Semega, of Jeannette; her stepsister, Marianne Gubanich Painter (Jim); nieces, Amy and Chrissy, of Pittsburgh; numerous cousins and even a fifth cousin, we go far back; and a godchild, Julie Matija Hansen. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Michael Semega, of Penn; mother, Helen Pittner Semega, of Penn; stepmother, Aneilia Gubanich Semega, of Penn; numerous deceased aunts, uncles, and great-aunts and uncles. Janice graduated from Penn-Trafford High School in 1961 and excelled in commercial subjects. Before her marriage, she worked in the billing department of Jeannette Glass. As her sister composing this local obituary, Janice was the 1950s housewife, superior cook and spotless housekeeper, well almost. She was a devoted wife and she will be sorely missed, but her pain is gone. GUARDIAN FUNERAL HOME of Corpus Christi, Texas, 361-853-0155 is handling the burial. A graveside burial will be at 1 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
