Jeremy Scott Copeland, 38, of South Connellsville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, while surrounded and comforted by his loving family. He was born Sept. 8, 1976, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of William and Gloria Bartholomai Copeland, of South Connellsville. He worked as a gas well tender with Atlas America Inc. Jeremy was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Scottdale. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Penguins. He enjoyed hunting and camping at his cabin. Most of all, Jeremy enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his daughters in their dance recitals. In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Nadene Mastowski Copeland; his two daughters, Rilynn Dene Copeland, age 10, and Alexis Bree Copeland, age 8, both at home; his brother, William Copeland Jr. and wife, Kristy, of Connellsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robin Reed, Brenda Panzella and husband, Dave, Lori Nicholson and husband, Jeff, Carla DeStefano, Marla Burkholder and husband, Greg, and Heather Henry and husband, Mark; mother and father-in-law, Donald E. and Linda Morrison and Walter Mastowski and Joyce Smith; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Justine, Justin, Leah, Allyson, Sean, Haylee, Kaylee, Alyssa, Taylor, Mason, Julia, Ayden, Ava, Skylar, Brentley, Jessalynn, Taylor, Devin and Bobby; grandparents-in-law, the Rev. Carl and Betty Ritenour; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeremy was predeceased by his grandparents, the late Geraldine Mastowski, the late John and Ewaldina Bartholomai and the late Harold and Ann Copeland. Nadene, Rilynn and Alexis would like to thank family and friends for their amazing support for them and Jeremy through this difficult time. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville (724-628-1430), where a prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Scottdale, with the Rev.
